About Me
Hello, I am Sumangal Dasgupta, a petroleum geoscientist by profession. In my day-to-day work, I engage in the integration of diverse studies encompassing tectonics, sedimentology, seismic interpretation, HC volume estimation, biostratigraphy, sequence stratigraphy, basin modeling, and rock physics. My primary objective is to develop comprehensive paleo-models, with a specific focus on gaining a unique understanding of basin evolution and hydrocarbon prospectivity.
Drawing from 26 years of extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, I have come to recognize this sector as a knowledge-intensive field where the synergy of business and science is paramount. I find great satisfaction in working within such a multifaceted and interdisciplinary industry.
